Its a long wkend well spent.... Its gona be a long post..so pls go for a toilet break first.

On saturday... uncle big n i caught the movie Bolt. Quite ok show. But i prefer madragascar 2 more.. lolx.. love the penguins..

On sunday... we celebrated my dad's birthday at Happy Joy Restaurant in Bukit Merah Central. Happy Joy restaurant is a very old restaurant.. its been there since im born... Tho the exterior is a little run-down... the food there is fabulous. lolx. The downside is... we went on a sunday morning.. and just nice... tour groups flooded the restaurant.. sooo noisy... spoilt the ambiencce...

After our lunch celebration... jie jie , jeff, me n uncle big decided to go bugis... Jiejie left travis in our care. Lolx.. we drove travis around in uncle big car... travis was overjoyed...playing thru out the car ride to my home (send dad home first) then to bugis junction.. then we brought him to shop around without his parents.. =X first time.. haha... 2 hours alone with travis.. his parents went to their fren's shop to get something..

he was well-behaved. Tho his diaper is wet (we forgot to take his diaper bag from sis and didnt expect to wait 2 hours for his parents), he is sleepy and hungry, he didnt give us much problems.. lolx. I realised something about travis.. he doesnt like it when its overcrowded and cramp places... so we took him to walk around hte shopping mall..before we settled down at toast box to wait for his parents to re-join us.

We headed home during hte evening time..Uncle big took a nap...These days..uncle big has been really bz at work.. he hasnt been sleeping well and constantly doing his work.... So to save travelling time and allow him some rest...we ordered pizza...

DESARU TRIP

My family and uncle big went on a trip to Desaru Malaysia. A total of 23 family members( includes uncle big) headed off for hte trip together.. hurhur..long time no go for family outing liaox..

We woke up around 5+ am... then we headed to my aunt's place.. which is the pick up point for all..Then we went up to malaysia in tour mini buses...It was drizzling when we reached malaysia.. and it continued the whole day...spoiling all the fun a little..zzzz...

First stop...Ah Koong..

Our breakfast menu..they are specialised in yong tou foo... The noodles are nice..got hte "Q" feeling... the soup is fantastic toooooo.. It seems like a popular place for noodles....

We spilt up into two tables for breakfast... Look at us enjoying.. LOLX

2 aunts with gen's family sat on one table.. while my family sat together with my mum's 3 older brohters and family.. hehe

We ordered the set meal for 8 people and another set meal for 4 people as there were 11 of us on the table... total about Rm 110-120.. still worth it... cos its inclusive of drinks.. with several other small dishes like mixed yong tou fu (the fried version with gravy), oyster soup, fish soup and fish plates...

After breakfast, gen requested for shopping..however...no malls are opened yet...so we headed off to Desaru Fruit farm....

Unfortunately..when we arrived..its raining.. Hence..we stayed at the mini shopping area in desaura fruit farm... we bought some local delicacies fromt he mini shop... U can buy fruits or fruit jucies tooo.... I shopped around..realised that theres nothing to buy back as souveniors.. then i also realise the things there are pretty lame.. its like a "chiong" version of some brands.. but nvm la.. haha... i didnt forget to buy bubble gums!! another sad thing is..due to fear that my bubble gums will get confiscated.. i bouhgt small amounts.. within half a day..

i nearly finished everything.... We shopped for quite some time..then we got bored... finally the downpour become a drizzle.. we all headed off to the fruit farm in a mini bus tat takes us into the farm itself....

inside the fruit farm..u be greeted by a stench.. ok..its fertilisers.... Another sway thing is..when we arrive into the fruit farm.. the rain became heavier..hence..not much picture taken..

we arrived at a little hut int he middle of the farm... inside are some artefacts...pretty boring for me...

Theres a nice pond outside the hut.... then i bought some fish feed .... bless, ruff and reyes followed me to feed the fishes.. int he rain.. lolx... And ..we are once again stuck as it was raining.....

Next stop after the little hut is the mini animal farm...

due to the rain..we didnt get to walk around the animal farm.. there are rabbits, eagle, hens, monkeys, turkeys, ostriches, chickens, goats... and some birds... haha.. some birds la...no chance to go closer to see wat birds..cos its RAINING..

The entire lot of us enjoyed hte goat feeding hte most..

And another not soo cute goat with us.. its rather nottie.. it went to head butt the baby goat over our grass feed.. sigh..tsk tsk ..bad goat!

Then we are directed to the bird corner int he farm.... the farmer showed us a mini rooster...

when reyes saw it..he was overly excited... he screamed "I WANNA TOUCH THE KOR KOR KAY" it meant i wanna touch the rooster... well.. the poor rooster got poked by reyes as reyes didnt know how to sayang it..dotx

After hte fruit n animal farm tour.. we head back to the shopping area... then we were lead to a little room where we were briefed on honey.... following that..it wass a buffet lunch....

After lunch...we stopped byt he museum..as it was haji.. it wasnt opened... i think its a boat museum..

Then we dropped by a little temple... where u can get to buy some kueh from a little stall opposite hte temple...

Then i realised that...most attap houses have these bird nest thingy around

the bird nest is suppose to scare away huge spiders.. lolx...Anyway... it rained n rained through out hte trip.. im constantly drenched.... the toilets are terrible as well.. lolx

After dinner.. we have some spare time..so..the driver dropped us off at some shopping mall at the out skirts of johor......after our short shopping....we all went for hte boat ride to see the fire flies...

unfortunately once again.. our lousy camera cldnt capture any fire flies..shld have stolen shah's dslr to take them sia...

The sight of fire flies is really mesmerising...They look like the flashing lights on a christmas tree... The fire flies blink in sliver in the night light... Everyone on the boat awed when at the pressence of fire fly.. its really really really beautiful.. its like a once in a lifetime chance for us urban dwellers to look at fire flies.. if u have the chance... go check out at ur nearest tour agency to look for fire fly tour...

My uncle managed to catch one..and showed it to all of us..... upclose and personal with a fire fly!!! sooooo PRETTY... my evil thought was to bring it home.. but thinking that its family are all here and it might not survive the trip back to sg.. .... i decided to banish the evil thought...... And ok.. it flew towards me..i screamed and run away... so timid... =X

After the boat ride..we all head back home to sg....yawnx. this marks the end of my trip..Wonderful but a little let down by the rain and awful toilets.....
