I had a wonderful national day weekend...

On national day (sat), uncle big and i visited the Live turtle and tortoise Museum after sis's regular wkend home coming... haha.. not tat i LOVE ninja turtles... hurhur... its always good to explore SG...

Let me introduce the turtle n tortoise museum... Its located at Singapore Chinese Garden. Here's the link :http://www.singapore-attractions.com/juronggardens.htm

Opening hours: 10am -7pm
Admission charges: $5 per adult, $3 per senior citizen / child (Check out the price... Its quite affordable for a date.. )

And so... what u will get to see there? Haha..obviously..... reptiles with shells.. =X
Theres a wide variety of turtles and tortoises ( both live and artificial) from around the world... The artificial ones are actually a private collection of the owner of tis museum....

the live ones are.......They are land tortoises.... water turtles/ tortoises.... some are edible... some are non-edible..some are small..some are huge..... Some are smelly... Some are very smelly....

Heres the serene garden with a terrapin pond located inside the museum...

Quite peaceful.. U can hang around the bridges or the benches.. (my advise is go on a cool day... cos it can get scorching hot on a sunny day..And do explore around the garden..there are small habitats of turtles around.. keep ur eyes peeled...)

Look closely at the pic below.. u might spot some terrapins.. i must say.... the pond is full of starving terrapins.....

The terrapins actually "stalk" you.... cos they are really hungry and seeing human beings appearing at the garden can just mean tat its meal time.... The famished ones actually climbed on to the lower bridge (the one as shown above) to wait for kind souls to buy a $1 packet of feed for them.... And i spent $4 on their feed...... they quite cute.. they swim towards the direction u are moving to, u know....

Some actually trailed you after u are done with ur feeding ... they follow u on to the land... Imagine terrapin mob~ I counted abt 6 terrapines crawled out to stalk me... heres 3... They will stare hard at u..hoping tat u will give them something...... then when they realised its a futile stare..they walk away.. they are big..around hte size of my foot...

Now heres my tortoise/turtle collection... forgot to charge my camera.. so used my hp to take pics...

This is a _______________________ (sorry i forgot the name.) Lolxx..Its some giant turtle tats in this wshing pond.....

Now heres a malaysian giant turtle... check out hte rosy cheeks.... haha..actually...theres no pretty turtles or tortoises... their colors quite dull..... but still they are worth looking at..

My favourite star box tortoise...considered endangered.... i like the pattern on their shelly back.. Its actually illegal to keep one now..... but roughly 9 yrs ago.. sara's ex gave her a pair of these... They are SOOOO CUTE....but they died long time back...

Dont know wats this.. but its quite special... cos its spotted.. =X

Some ugly looking matamata.... i actually took a pic of a snapping turtle..but the pic didnt turn out well..aa...stupid camera phone.. cos the turtles too dark...nothing showed up on the picture...

Yellow stripped neck terrapin,,,,

Now this is something edible..i think.... lols... theres quite a few of such water turtles around..

Heres a land tortoise..forgot the name.. yet again..

I know..this one is elongated tortoise...

Alrites....this sums up the live turtle and tortoise museum visit.. as it was a rather breezy weather.. me n uncle big stoned at one of the lakes inside chinese garden... the downside of chinese garden on a weekend is.. its filled with foreign indian workers walking around... erps..

Sunday was a shopping day with sis and family... followed by movie at vivo city...
