I find some things horribly funny...

Here rise...there rise

taking the example of the cab fare rise....

News paper say taxi driver chin cham

Announcement for the rise...

People niam niam chum chum here....niam niam chum chum there...

People give feedbacks...

People wrote to the news paper forums giving suggestions on how to help...

U see ar.....

People write in here..write in there..voicing unhappiness....

Their responses are just being ignored one lors...

You think the cab company will review their prices yet again because of all the negative responses they receive?

(Let me laugh 1st... HAHAHAHHAHAHAHA)

No...

Sometimes i really wonder if the voices are ever heard...

Here go up..there go up.. I read numerous feedbacks in the news papers.. but nothing is done...

Really lahx.... the feedback wont serve a purpose to make them change their minds..

In the end, we just bite the bullet and move on lor....

Biggest losers still us lahx...

Im not very affected by the cab fare rise.. i dont always take cab one.. But still..when theres a need for one ( eg. when im sick or when i need to go somewhere foreign to me on this island), i really wonder if i can afford it....

Raise lahx.. i dont care lahx..... raise bus fare yet lousy service.... on monday morning..it was raining..tat !@#!@#$@#$#@$!@#!@# bus driver dropped us off away fromt he bus stop.. i got to school a little drenched... Cant he just wait a little while more for the other buses to move off? KNN

And yes... just after i posted this blog... i chanced upon this news article..

http://news.asiaone.com/News/AsiaOne%2BNews/Singapore/Story/A1Story20071213-41009.html

Ministers, top civil servants to get 4% to 21% in 2nd pay rise

Abstracts:

SINGAPORE'S ministers and top civil servants will start the New Year with a pay increase, ranging from 4 per cent to 21 per cent.

This is the second phase of an increase that was decided on in April.

Under the revised salary package announced by the Public Service Division (PSD) on Thursday, ministers at the starting grade will take home $1.94 million next year - an increase of 21 per cent over this year's $1.6 million

With the pay revision, the annual salary for President SR Nathan will go up from $3.1 million this year to $3.87 million in 2008, the Prime Minister's from $3.09 million to $3.76 million, ministers and senior permanent secretaries, from $1.593 million to $1.94 million, entry superscale grade Admin officers, from $384,000 to $398,000 and MPs, from $216,300 to $225,000 (see tables below).

Their pay increases will come in the form of a higher monthly salary and a fatter performance bonus.

For instance, ministers at the entry grade of MR4 will get an average of 9 months performance bonus, on top of the GDP bonus, which can fall between 3 and 8 months, depending on econommic growth.

In a statement, the PSD said that this round of changes would bring MR4 salaries to 77 per cent of the private sector benchmarks, to which it is pegged. The April revisions had brought it to 73 per cent of the benchmark.

The benchmark is set at two-thirds of the median pay of the top 8 earners in banking, law, engineering and accountancy, as well as employees of multinational corporations and local manufacturers.

This was $2.2 million as of April but has been revised to $2.7 million when calculating next year's pay.

And soo....

just when theres sooo many complains about how the poor are suffering, the rise of bus fares & cab fares, the rise in food prices, how our pay havent rise for years, how expats are suffering because of the expensive rents, how couples cant get married becos hdb flats too ex and cant ballot for one and many more, they just raised their pay....

fwah...very good huh?

Im beginning to feel disgusted after every word i read from the article..... And life is sad...

Ytrday, we celebrated my sis's belated bday and my dad's bday with a buffet ala carte dinner at Sze Chuan restaurant at Park Royal hotel.. Quite nice food... ideal for those who love salty and spicy stuff..... But then .. its a bit not worth it.. cos it will cost u about 70 per pax and the food selection are limited... So we order the dishes like fish and prawns to make the price worth while.. keep ordering desserts.. lolx.... quite small serving..so i ate 3 bowls... And as usual.. we ate till we drop. =X

Too bad.. i dont have a gd pic of travis... anyway.. u can look at his blog.... Jeff dedicated one to him... then u can compare urself..lolx... heres the link to travis's blog http://www.travisten.blogspot.com

Yesterday..met up with eve n Ly for dinner.. then since there was time..we caught a movie called enchanted... Its a nice fairy tale.... hurhur.. that guy who end up as her prince quite charming to me.... Then we had a short chit chat session at mos burger....

Went to Pine Cafe at Ngee Ann poly for lunch with bing just now... Yummy Campus introduced tat dish called chicken chop baked rice.... Well.. it tastes quite ok.... Not as superb as wat was described... Quite filling though.... Oh ya.. and we went shopping at our school bazaar zone... We bought a tee shirt for our bfs. Lolx. =D Quite cheap only lahx... only $10 bucks...

Anyway.. i tot i be quite free ... cos no test no assignment.. and just now bing reminded me about the isorg test which will be nxt wednesday... Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket sian, right?

Speaking of isorg..... i must say... this is 1st class in my entire life at SIM which i have totally 100% no mood and motivation to go for tat class.... His face puts me to slp. His voice has the power to let u close your eyes and never open it up until he says the magic word " Break time". He is the ultimately boring guy.. He tried to interesting... but it didnt really work out well... Basically, his slides are from his notes... And just by reading his notes, u will understand more or less wat is going on....

Can u imagine.. i dragged myself every wednesday morning to his class... end up to doze off or stone off due to his interestingly boring class... AND it just have to rain every wednesday.. it adds on to my misery....

In his class(i usually sit at the back of hte class). i can see pple dozing off, playing hp games, playing DS lite or simply chatting away.... Then bing just dozed off for a full 30 mins... until i woke her up.. can u imagine tat? Marion was stoning.. so was i...Basically from a full lecture at wk 1.. its now a 1/4 lecture at wk 12....
