Damn... ive been coughing since like last sat? I kinda rested at home.... Of course..i still have some social scenes lahx... lolxlast friday i met with bing, jaq and winston for lunch at ps...followed by the movie 881... Lolx.. i watched it twice... nvm la..its nice... then dinner with darling.... Then monday uncle big n i bring reyes out... evening time we bring him to my house..cos he wanted to find big gu por.. hehe.. my mum.. then he entertained my sis n jeff... =X bth him.... chest so uncomfortable..haix.... results soon out..not very optimistic.. These few days.... i guess everyone must have heard of Odex sueing pple who dwld animes online... A lot of students kana..... I really wonder how are the students gona pay the fines....Please take note..i only know about odex until recently when theres a lot of chaos about tis..i find it amusing.. Not tat i download animes..just tat this whole Hooo Haaa is really interesting...
I find odex unreasonable....i mean...they slam hefty fines on their students..even those who dwld mp3 oso kana warning nia if 1st offence...
Anywayx... DONT PAY THE FINE FIRST!!! SEEK LEGAL ADVISE!Watever the heck is.... dont pay the fine 1st...I personally never ever bought any odex dvds in my whole life.... 1. I still find their 29.90 price tag sky high. Now then i realised those dvd boxes are from them...2. their things look cheapo...just look at the packaging...3. Their animes are always launched very very late.... When the season is over.....when the hype is over.....it is then...their anime dvd show up in the market... Oh my.... ask me how i know about my animes? Online communities.... 4. ive had enough of negative feedbacks like their dvd quality isnt gd (meanign the sound, graphics etc), and its quite amusing tat some anime fans spotted tat odex was actually using fan subs as well. Fan subs are a group of pple who translate and does subtitles on animes for free.. I mean....if u dont produce quality things, how can u expect pple to buy ur things? And pls note tat ur target audience are mainly students..so expensive for a set of vcd which is only a few episodes..one whole set dont know will cost 200 over bucks.. And the odex guy promptly blamed it on his workers(those who were suppose to do the translation) saying tat it was his workers who copied the fan subs. If you read ytrday's straits times...u would have seen his article... I dont really think that their downfall is mainly based on pple who dwld animes...I have never in life heard of odex until they made a huge fuss on the papers...Bascially POOR BUSINESS MODEL!Why did i say poor business model ?1. Never in my life saw any advertisements made by them in the media. Not on the radio. I watch cartoons via kids central.. I dont even see any single ad from them. Or perhaps u did some marketing but its too insignificant to be noticed....And when do i know tat this anime is actually licensed by them? Several months later while theres some vcd fair going on... U didnt do much marketing wors...how to create awarenesss about your products??? 2. I love going to cosplay fests.... but i have never once seen our dear Odex company taking part in such events..at least be a ssponsor to support our local anime fans here..or maybe volunteer to be one of the judges for cosplay events? Again..poor marketing strategy...Your PR skill sucks.... No wonder no one knows about you until you blew everything up....3. No membership given. No loyalty card. No freebies......Most of the anime fans are youths... If no rebates given to make urself attractive, who will bother about you ? Even macdonald oso have membership card.... Your customer relationship mgmt really terok as well... Perhaps one should always look at himself 1st before he goes out to bite pple..
I guess Odex really blew things out of proportion....They have successfully become a public enemy...quite interesting.....we all can put into our collection of business studies here....
